The Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM)

Today’s Girl Scouts are passionate about enhancing the quality of life in their communities and they do so in ways as numerous as the girls themselves. Some of those projects lead girls to the Gold Award, Girl Scouts’ highest honor. Twenty-five girls in the Southeast Michigan Council earned Gold in 2019 with projects ranging from teaching computer coding to establishing school-based recycling to wading through the Veterans Administration website to identify services for homeless vets. The Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) is promoting its girls and the Gold Award program to emphasize that our value extends far beyond cookies – although we love our cookies, too! We are starting our campaign with organizations aligned with community service. We hope we are helping build your future membership
