The St. Clair Rotary Club assisted in this year's Socktober drive collecting 554 pairs of socks and 118 pairs of underwear.
Socktober is annual collection drive that began in 2011 and has spread through out the United States and even overseas. At most shelters, the most pressing need is for people to have clean socks and underwear. With cooler weather approaching, October is a good time to do a month long drive to collect these for those in need.
