As part of the Bridge to Bay Trail, the Palmer Park Trailhead will provide a rest stop for travelers.

The Palmer Park Trailhead project will include new restrooms and other amenities with groundbreaking scheduled for July 6, 2026.

Rotary’s connection to public amenities like restrooms dates back more than a century. In 1907, just two years after Paul Harris founded the Rotary Club of Chicago, Rotarians completed their first public service project—the construction of public “comfort stations,” or restrooms. Today, the St. Clair Rotary Club is proud to continue that tradition of service by supporting modern, accessible amenities that benefit the entire community.

St. Clair Rotary is joined by the St. Clair County Community Foundation, the City of St. Clair and generous private donors who share a commitment to investing in the future of Palmer Park.
