The sixth annual St. Clair Rotary Club Pine River Turtle Race was ran this past Sunday afternoon, September 13th, along the boardwalk in Centennial Park.

 

The annual Turtle Race will be ran Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Rotary Centennial Park on the Pine River. This family-friendly event features entertainment, games, and 5,000 plastic turtles racing toward the finish line in a fun and colorful spectacle.

 

The club, along with families, friends and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s, Prosecutor’s and County Clerk’s Offices, volunteered 60 bell ringing shifts across December 4th-6th and 11th-13th collecting over $6,000 to support our local Salvation Army.

 

The third annual SOCKTOBER campaign gathered 2,981 pairs of socks and underwear, more than doubling last year’s total of 1,200 pairs.

 

Over 8,500 pounds of food was delivered to the local Ecumenical Food Pantry over the last year from October 2024 through September 2025.

 

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Club and community friends successfully completed a special service project by installing a Storybook Walk in the newly revitalized Klecha Park.

 

The International Day of Peace on September 21, 2025 was commemorated by erecting and dedicating a Peace Pole in Rotary Centennial Park.

 

The fifth annual St. Clair Rotary Club Pine River Turtle Race was ran this past Sunday afternoon, September 7th, along the boardwalk in Centennial Park.

 

 

This year's recipients of the Rotary Club of St. Clair scholarships are Aiden Roulo and Camryn Smith with the STRIVE scholarship going to Tivis Crawford!

 

Keeping invasive species out of the newly restored Wildlife Landing takes many hands to make light the work on a Saturday morning in May.

 

On a beautiful spring day, the Club installed a Solar Panel Charging Station Umbrella in the picnic table at Rotary Park’s Wildlife Landing.

The St. Clair Rotary Club will proudly celebrate its 100th anniversary on June 20th, 2024, at the St. Clair Inn!

 

On the evenings of November 3rd and 4th, Rotarians Diane and Jim Ives hosted two fund raising dinners in support of Rotary's End Polio Now campaign.

 

The St. Clair Rotary Club assisted in this year's Socktober drive collecting 554 pairs of socks and 118 pairs of underwear.

On an overcast Saturday morning, St. Clair Rotarians were up and at 'em giving the Centennial Park and Wildlife Landing a much-needed refresher after the long winter.

The COVID pandemic long delayed the 2019 raffle winner's trip but, it was never forgotten.

 

The next phase of the renovation of Wildlife Landing in Rotary Centennial Park was completed on June 21st with the addition of flowers!

 

At the St. Clair High School Honors Convocation for the Class of 2022, the St. Clair Rotary Club presented two scholarships: one for $2,000 to Madison Rzeppa and the other for $700 to Erin Enderby.

 

At 6:30 p.m. on a beautiful May 16th evening, friends, family, Rotarians and city officials held a dedication ceremony to formally install the Doug Murphy memorial skateboard bench at St. Clair's Skate Park.

 

On April 29th, the Mayor of St. Clair led a ceremonial planting of three Autumn Blaze maples at Rotary Centennial Park's Wildlife Landing.

 

In response to the massive tornado that swept Kentucky on December 10th, local Rotarians Diane and Jim Ives organized and delivered 4,400 pounds of food, water and personal items donated from local sources.

 

On the evenings of October 22nd and 23rd, Rotarians Diane and Jim Ives, Pam Petitpren and Crystal Jahn and friends of Rotary Heather Hyslop and Esther Stevens hosted two fund raising dinners in support of Rotary's End Polio Now campaign.

 

The first ever St. Clair Rotary Club Pine River Turtle Race was ran on August 29th at Rotary Centennial Park in St. Clair. It was a beautiful day with a strong southwesterly breeze that helped propel the rubber turtles to the finish line.

 

This year's Community Foundation Big Give event was the springboard for the Club to raise $11,940 for our Wildlife Landing project!

 

On the evenings of October 23rd and 24th, Rotarians Diane Ives and Pam Petitpren hosted two fund raising dinners in support of Rotary's End Polio Now campaign.

 

In a little over two hours during the afternoon of September 17th, Rotary volunteers assisted River District personnel in administering the 181 available flu shots!

 

Responding to a short notice call to action, several St. Clair Rotarians helped restock shelves at the local Neiman's grocery store.

 

On September 10, the St. Clair Rotary Club volunteers helped in the construction of the Imagination Station Re-Imagination at Grieg Park.

 

This year's event drew 98 seniors to the Pine Shores Golf Club where a fun filled evening of Bingo saw 73 prizes awarded.

At the regular Monday lunch meeting on April 30th at the River Crab, the Rotary Club of St. Clair pledged to raise $30,000 over six years to assist in rebuilding the Imagination Station playground at Grieg Park.

 

At the 30th annual St. Johns River District "Dinner Dance" on January 27, 2018, St. Clair Rotarian Mr. Paul Dingeman was given the honor of Community Leader of the Year.

 

On January 15, 2018, the St. Clair Rotary Club presented a check for $20,000 to Lezlynne Moore of the Community Foundation of St. Clair County for the St. Clair High School tennis court renovation project.
